Ways to support us:

  • Donations
  • Bequests
  • Fore the Foundation Golf Outing
  • Care Choices Celebration
  • Donations

Currently our principal fund-raising events are our annual golf outing and the Care Choices Celebration. However, there are additional ways to make a contribution to the Visiting Nurse Service of Schenectady and Saratoga Counties through the VNS Foundation, would include but not be limited to the following:

  • Cash – Making a donation of cash is as simple as writing a check or authorizing a charge to your credit card. It is also possible to make donations online.
  • Corporate Match – Several companies e.g. General Electric have programs through which they will “match” the charitable contributions made by their employees. Through corporate gift matching, your employer can multiply your gift to the VNS, making it go further.Check with your company’s Human Resources office to see if they offer gift matching. (If they don’t, you may want to ask your company to start one.) If your employer does offer this program, your Human Resources department should provide you with a matching gift form to send to the Schenectady & Saratoga VNS along with your donation.
  • Stocks and Bonds – Stocks and Bonds that have increased in value is one of the most popular assets used for charitable giving.
  • Real Estate - Using real estate, such as your house, farm or commercial property, to fund a gift allows you to preserve your cash assets, advantages, and make a larger charitable gift than anticipated.
  • Privacy – If you wish to remain anonymous your gift will be kept confidential. Please remember that recognition of your gift can encourage others to do the same. Whatever the case we will honor your wishes. Click here for a listing of our recent donors.
  • Fore the Foundation Golf Outing- The Annual Foundation golf outing will take place in September every year. Interested players and contributors will find Golf Tournament registration materials on our website.
  • Care Choices Celebration - Funds raised from the Celebration support the Care Choices program, which provides expert advanced illness care to hundreds of patients and their families in the community, serving people at the most vulnerable time in their lives.
  • Memorial - A memorial donation provides an opportunity to honor a loved one’s life with a commemorative gift. In an obituary families often direct donations to an organization that was meaningful to a loved one. Memorial donations can also mark special occasions, such as anniversaries or birthdays. Please consider including the VNSF in your planned memorial charitable donations.
